Our home is a 1,997-square foot mid-century Rancher built in the sixties, and has 3 Bedrooms, 2 full baths, a Den, an Office and a 200-square foot unfinished basement. The house needs some work but may be worth improving by a buyer who is not quite ready to build new. The existing house could also be raised so that an additional floor could be added to double the square footage. Building, foundation, and drainage system upgrades would be required to add a floor.

We have not made any recent upgrades to the house knowing that the next owner may want to tear it down to make way for their preferred use of this property. We have not had the house inspected either, and do not have a complete deficiency list. We do know that the roof and drainage system need to be repaired. We are not aware of any hazardous materials that our home may contain. Most homes built before 1980 contain some form of asbestos. Hazmat companies seem to agree that if asbestos materials are contained in a building they pose little or no health threat if they have not been exposed by renovation or other disturbances. The house does not contain 2 of the most common asbestos building materials: linoleum tile and fiberboard ceiling tiles. Our family has lived in this house for over 30 years, and we have not suffered any asbestos related symptoms. However, buyers may, at their own expense, have the property inspected to determine its condition before making an offer. We make no representations and provide no warranties pertaining to the condition of our house and will be selling the property on an “As is, where is” basis.
